"Most forms of cancer are preventable and curable provided they are detected early. There is an urgent need to raise awareness about the various causes of cancer and ways to halt its growing incidence. Tobacco consumption or exposure to second hand smoke is responsible for over 70 per cent of all cancers in our country," he said.
