IMD forecasts heavy rains in parts of Kerala tomorrow

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of heavy rains and thunderstorms at isolated places in Kerala tomorrow.

Isolated places over south interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to witness thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds, the IMD said in its severe weather warning.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from April 15, coupled with a cyclonic circulation over eastern parts of Bangladesh and neighbourhood. This will bring rains to the northeast and West Bengal.

On Monday, thunderstorm, accompanied with squall and hail, is very likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
