"The officials have been directed to implement the orders of empowering panchayats failing which stern action will be initiated against them," Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Minister Sham Lal Sharma said at a function in Akhnoor border belt.
"Empowerment of panchayats will surely add to progress and prosperity of the state besides ensuring effective implementation of development programmes," he said.
