Journalists from Madhya Pradesh today demanded that owners of newspapers and managements of news agencies should immediately implement recommendations of the Majithia Wage Board for journalists and non-journalists.

The demand was made in the General Secretary's report presented at the 19th session of the Madhya Pradesh Working Journalists' Federation.

It expressed the hope that petitions filed in connection with the wage board would be resolved soon and a decision taken to benefit journalists and non-journalists.

The report also urged the Centre to direct state governments to take steps to implement the wage board.
