BJD member Bhupinder Singh today demanded improvement of medical facilities provided in Parliament House Annexe here and asked the government to take urgent steps in that direction.
"The situation has not at all improved in the medical services provided at Parliament Annexe. The medical centre does not have MRI and Ultra Sound facilities. This should be improved," Singh said while participating in a debate on the working of the Health Ministry in the Rajya Sabha.
Airing concern over the quality of medicines being provided at the medical centre, the BJD MP said "we don't know whether those medicines are real or fake. The government should look into it."
Singh also pitched for free medical treatment to be provided to all citizens in the country keeping in view "costly" medical services.
