Rajasthan Congress vice president Archana Sharma today said she was in favour of a law on government accountability and would try to get a bill on it introduced in the state assembly.

Sharma said the party would hold internal discussions on the matter before introducing the bill.

Meanwhile, social activist Aruna Roy said that the law and order situation in Rajasthan had deteriorated and attacks on dalits, minority communities, women and nomads are allegedly on the rise.

"A state-wide movement is called upon which will continue for one year starting from October 2017 for a law aimed at fixing accountability for non-delivery of government services," Roy said in a press conference here today.

CPI (M) Jaipur district secretary Sumitra Chopra said the party will lend support to the issues concerning the common man.
