In order to overcome
summer heat, poultry owners had been advised to supplement the feed for the fowls with electrolytes and amino acids.
According to a press statement from Agromet Field Unit of the Veterinary College and Research Institute and Regional Meteorological Centre, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 98.6 degree fahrenheit and 75.2 degree fahrenheit respectively in the next four days in districts like Salem, Namakkal.
As the day and night temperatures are expected to increase slightly, there would be heat stress and egg production may reduce, it said.
