Class VII girls were allegedly thrashed with a stick and made to do sit-ups for not completing their homework following which a government school teacher has been booked in Lijwana Kala village here.
The incident took place on Friday when the woman teacher beat up the students with a stick and made them do sit-ups during which some of them fainted, Julana police station SHO Balwan Singh said.
The girls were shifted to Julana community health centre from where they were discharged in the evening, he said.
On the complaint of the victims' parents, a case was registered against the teacher and a probe has been initiated, the SHO added.
