'Incredible India':Centre to promote Puri Nabakalebar Festival

Nabakalebar Festival in Odisha will be promoted under the 'Incredible India' campaign for its international branding and Rs 50 crore would be released for providing infrastructure facilities for the celebration.

This was stated by Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma during a meeting with Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the preparations for the upcoming festival.

The Culture Ministry will also release a postal stamp and coin to mark the festival, he said.

The festival will be celebrated on July 10 after a gap of 19 years.

During the meeting, Sharma, who is also the MoS of Civil Aviation Ministry, said the first international flight from Bhubaneswar to Abu Dhabi is likely to be launched during the festival.
