Hollywood star Chris Evans has confessed he feels "incredibly comfortable" playing Captain America in upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War".

Evans, 33, said he was nervous when he first landed the role because he was worried comic book fans wouldn't accept him, reported Contactmusic.

Replying to a question if it's easy to slip back into character, the "Fantastic Four" actor said, "Absolutely. When you first take on the role, it's intimidating, and you're scared the fans may not accept you.

"Now, I feel incredibly comfortable with it, and that's when you start trying to challenge the character and forge new territory," Evans added.

Evans had played the Marvel Comics character Captain America in 2011 film "Captain America: The First Avenger".

The actor who began his career on the television series Opposite Sex (2000) had played the titular role again in 2015 film "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

Evans will reprise the role for the 2016 sequel.
