India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has assigned CLP Wind Farms Rs 600 crore non-convertible debentures (NCDs) 'IND AA' rating with stable outlook.
"India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has assigned CLP Wind Farms (India) Pvt Ltd's Rs 6,000 million non-convertible debentures (NCDs) a final rating of 'IND AA'. The Outlook is stable," it said in a statement.
'IND AA' instruments with this rating are considered to have high degree of safety regarding timely servicing of financial obligations. Such instruments carry very low credit risk.

MECL commits CSR funds towards skill development * Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd, a Miniratna PSE, today signed an agreement under which it will contribute CSR funds towards a project to skill 200 persons in one or more of its operational areas in India.
Under the tripartite agreement, which MECL has inked with the National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the CPSE will contribute Rs 26.7 lakh to the NSDF and NSDC will implement the project which aims to train 200 Indian youths over the next 2 years.

Diarrohea-causing bacterium can also affect shrimp post-larvae * In a significant study on threats to shrimp farming, scientists at Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) have found that a bacterium that causes severe infectious diarrhoeal disease and cholera in humans can also infect shrimp post-larvae and cause mass mortality.
This infection also leads to serious economic loss in aquaculture of shrimp.
