Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Dilip Walse Patil today suspended independent member Ravi Rana for a day over his unruly behaviour on the floor of House.
Rana, an MLA from Badnera, entered the House wearing a white shirt painted with slogans in support of separate Vidarbha state, which earned disapproval of the Speaker.
The Speaker asked Rana to come in proper attire and as per the dress code of the House. However, Rana did not comply despite repeated directions, following which he was suspended for the day.
