Inder Jit Singh assumes charge as Coal Secretary

Inder Jit Singh today took charge as Coal Secretary, according to an official release.

The post fell vacant after the superannuation of Susheel Kumar on April 30, 2018, Coal Ministry said in a statement.

In the interim, Mines Secretary Anil G Mukhim was holding the additional charge.

"Inder Jit Singh assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Coal...," the ministry said.

Prior to this, Singh was posted as Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat, it said.
