India A in quarters of Asian Snooker Championship

India A comprising Pankaj Advani and Laxman Rawat stormed into the quarterfinals of the Asian Team Snooker Championship here today.

After whitewashing Qatar 3-0, India A won a cliffhanger 3-2 against Iran B to make it to the knockout stage.

Advani has won all his individual matches so far in the team event.

India B, consisting of Dharmender Lilly and Sandeep Gulati, however failed in both the group matches, going down to Hong Kong and Iran A 0-3.

This resulted in India B getting eliminated from the championship. The quarterfinals will be held tomorrow.
