Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today said "India is befittingly responding to Pakistan in a language it understands" even as he asked the neighbouring country to stop targeting civilians along the borders.
Singh was talking to reporters during his visit to International Border in Hiranagar area of Kathua district to meet the persons injured in the shelling from Pakistani side.
He assured the border residents that the government was at their service to ensure facilities for them.
"Targeting civilians is a sign of cowardice. It will not be tolerated by India," he said.
