Huge opportunities for cooperation exist between India and Belgium and both the countries need to take advantage of each other's talent strength, Belgium's King Philippe said today.

Addressing businesses of both the countries here, he said India is a global leader in IT sector and it has long been a home to the best brains in mathematics.

"We must continue to learn from each other and take advantage of each other's talent strength," he added.

He also said interaction between industry leaders at the India-belgium Business Forum would yield fruitful results.

India is Belgium's second largest export destination and third largest trade partner outside European Union.

In 2016-17, bilateral trade between the countries stood at USD 12.3 billion.

Belgium's King Philippe held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday to strengthen bilateral ties.

The Belgian king is accompanied by six ministers and a high-powered business delegation comprising CEOs of 86 Belgian companies.
