India bids to hold World Bridge Championship

India's chance to host the prestigious meet is quite bright and President of WBF, Giogarni Rona, would be visiting the country on February 13 to inspect the facilities, BFI Secretary Arijit Guha said today.

More than 70 countries from all over the world are expected to take part in the meet, he added.

WBF will take the final decision during the next World Championship, to be held in Bali in 2013.

About the 2013 calendar, Guha said the next Winter and Summer National Bridge meets would be held in Ahmedabad from December 16-23 and in Pune from February 20-26 respectively.
