India Blue win in Women's Challenger Trophy

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made a composed half-century before spinner Preeti Bose claimed four wickets as India Blue posted a comfortable 47-run victory over India Green in the Women's Challenger Trophy cricket tournament here today.

Batting first, India Blue made 201 for seven in their allotted 50 overs with Kaur 63 (94b, 4x4) and Veda Krishnamurthy (36) adding 82 runs for the fourth wicket after opener Sarika Koli (42, 67b, 6x4) laid the foundation.

In reply, India Green were restricted to 154 for nine in 41.4 overs despite a fighting 67 by Tania Bhatia.

Off-spinner Bose returned impressive figures of four for 23 for the winners.
