A plan of action will be worked out in consultation with stakeholders in health care and education sectors to develop greater exchange and partnership opportunities between India and East Africa.
A delegation from local chapter of CII from healthcare and education sectors have met the representatives of the International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva, two days ago to explore the avenues for possible collaboration for expanding into and developing the two sectors in East Africa.
ITC, through its Supporting Indian Trade and Investment for East Africa (SITA) project, is working towards promoting Indian investment in key sectors - primarily in agri-business and manufacturing sectors - in five East African countries of Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and the Republic of Tanzania, SITA coordinator, ITC, Govinda Venuprasad said in a release here today.
An overview of SITA project for the participants to understand and explore the potential areas of collaboration was presented. Accordingly, an action plan will be prepared soon, Venuprasad said.
