Recurve mixed pair of Jayanta Talukdar and Laishram Bombayala Devi and compound archer Rajat Chauhan have assured India of two medals in the ongoing Archery World Cup Stage III in Antalya.

According to information received here, Talukdar and Bombayla stunned top seed Koreans 5-4 in the tie-breaker to storm into the final, while Chauhan defeated Sergio Pagni of Italy 143-139 in the semis.

The recurve mixed pair event went down to the wire after India and Korea were locked 4-4 after four ends to take the match into a tie-breaker.

The fifth-ranked Talukdar-Bombayla pair showed tremendous grit to shoot one perfect 10 and a nine to edge out Woojin Kim and Tuk Young Lee 19-18 en route to the final.

In the gold medal clash Sunday, the Indian pair will face second ranked Chinese pair of Yuting Fang and Gang Wang.

In the compound individual section, Chauhan kept the Indian flag high setting up a clash against Korean Yong Hee Choi in the final scheduled tomorrow.

Earlier, Chauhan ousted second seed Braden Gellenthien of the US 143-139 in the first round of the draw of eight.
