India Fest Season 4 starts in UAE on Dec 5

The UAE, the world's largest base for overseas Indian workers, will be organising a three-day India Fest season 4 next week to celebrate the rich culture heritage of India.

The India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) in Abu Dhabi, socio-cultural organisation of the Indian community in the capital, will organise the signature annual event in collaboration with embassy of India at its premises from December 5 to 7.

The event will exhibit various cultures from across the world with the participation of the Fijian, Indian and Philippine Embassies in Abu Dhabi.

The organisers of the fest expect more audience this season as they promise better arrangements and vivid performances compared to previous ones, a press statement said.
 

Over 100 artists from India and UAE will perform in the event. Performers will include a 18-member folk dance group from Indian state of Punjab and a team from South India which will showcase folkloric performances, pole dance, and traditional art forms of Karakattom and Kalaripayattu.

A portion of the event's proceeds will go to a deserving charitable organisation in India as part of the centre's social responsibility initiative.
