Indian contingent's concerns over transportation from Asian Games village to the various sports venues and the limited food options were today addressed by the Olympic Council of Asia, which gave a "dressing down" to the organising committee officials.

Indian contingent's chef de mission, Adille Sumariwalla, told reporters that there had been a meeting between OCA and the organising committee earlier today to address the issues that he has been raising since day one at the chef de missions' daily meeting.

"I have been raising these issues on a daily basis and it has borne fruit finally as today OCA representatives gave a dressing down to the organising committee after we were supported by a lot many other countries," said Sumariwalla.

According to Sumariwalla the transportation is not up to the mark and the varieties of food, specially catering to the Indian athletes, 50 per cent of whom are vegetarians, is inadequate.

Two days ago the badminton team, that spent the whole day at the venue, had to wait for more than 45 minutes to take the bus back to the village as the driver went missing.

The bus left the venue well beyond the designated hour.
