Manish, who is a regular at the womenswear pret-a-porter, will present his collection on the third day of the event beginning on September 25 and he says it was high time he showcased the real Indian silhouettes on the global platform.

"I thought that it is high time that I actually showcase the real Indian silhouette to the world. India is on everyone's mind- silhouette wise or fabric wise. We saw at the recently held New York Fashion Week (designer Vera Wang showed her India-inspired collection). So, I thought why not me?," Manish said.

The colorful and quirky designer said that he hopes to see people around the globe accept his collection.

"It is new for me. I never took traditional India with me for my shows abroad. In the past, I have taken just the embroidery or a pattern but blended it in a way that made it very international. I hope to see people wear it next summer globally," he added.

When asked what took him so long to take India to the world through his collection, Manish said, "It is not about long it is about the moment. I felt this was the right time. I am very proud of the collection.

"I can't wait to showcase it and I don't care what the reaction will be like but for myself I feel that it is the time to tell everybody that Indian silhouettes are in." (MORE)
