India and Kyrgyzstan today decided to take steps to enhance their defence cooperation at a meeting here of the defence ministers of the two countries.
Kyrgyz Defence Minister Maj Gen Taalaibek Omuraliev and his Indian counterpart A K Antony discussed a range of issues of mutual interest concerning bilateral defence cooperation and also shared views on security issues, a ministry spokesperson said.
Omuraliev is currently on an official visit to India.

"Both sides reaffirmed their desire to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation in areas of interest such as training, UN peacekeeping and defence industry cooperation. They also agreed to take steps to enhance cooperation between the armed forces of both countries," he said.
During this visit, the Kyrgyz Defence Minister visited various defence establishments in Delhi. He will also visit Agra.
