An Indian language chair will be established in the Egypt's Ain Shams University from the next academic year, India's Ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharya has said.
Announcing this during the World Hindi Day celebrations, he said that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the University.
It will be the second Indian chair in the varsity. The existing one is in the field of biotechnology which was established in 2016.

University Deputy President Dr Abdel Naser Singab said that celebrating the Hindi Day at the varsity reflects the strong relations and friendship between the people of India and Egypt and it allows more people to know about different cultures.
Head of the Maulana Azad Center For Indian Culture (MACIC), Dr Liquit Ali said that the Hindi language was influenced by Arabic language and that many Hindi words are of Arabic origin.
Dr Abdul Mageed, teacher of Hindi language at MACIC expressed his happiness that this language has flourished in Egypt.
