After going down 1-3 to Tanzania, hosts India will look to produce an improved performance when they lock horns against USA in the AIFF Youth Cup at Tilak Maidan, here tomorrow.
After drawing against Malaysia, India had hoped for a better result against Tanzania. The colts did start well by moving the ball from the flanks and had two chances to take early lead but once they conceded a goal the hosts lost their way. The colts looked jaded especially in the second half and were outrun by Tanzania with sheer pace and stamina.
The Indian colts know very well that their next two matches against the USA and South Korea will be tougher and will be a learning experience of the U-16 Asia Cup in September and the U-17 World Cup in 2017 which is going to be held in India.
It will be their 'second chance,' when Indian colts take on United States of America. Not every day India gets to play them and the colts would like to make a big statement by dishing out a good performance.
India coach Nicolau Adam said his boys will show the "right attitude" tomorrow.
"USA who drew their first match against Tanzania went on to beat Malaysia yesterday. They are a dominating side who will come hard on us but my boys are ready for the challenge and will give their best against USA. They will show their best attitude on the pitch. I reiterate it wasn't right in the second half in our last match," Nicolau Adam said.
South Korea will play against Tanzania in the the first match at 4 p.M.
