Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today held bilateral discussions with New Zealand's Minister of Conservation and Food Safety Kate Wilkinson and discussed various issues of mutual interest.

In his welcome address, Azad said India, a member of the World Trade Organisation, is committed to comply with the Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary Standards (SPS) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) agreements.

Representatives of the New Zealand High Commission had earlier met the Chairperson of Food Safety and Standards Authority and in line with that discussion, India would await for the draft of the agreement.
