India playing important role in G20 deliberations: FinMin

The leaders of 20 large economies in the world will deliberate on global economic situation and security challenges tomorrow at their meet where India is playing an important role, Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das said today.

"G20 summit begins tomorrow. Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) will participate. India playing important role in all deliberations," Das said in a tweet.

"Participating in G20 meeting in Antalya, Turkey today. Key issues of development, climate change, inclusive growth, global economy etc discussed," Das said in another tweet.

The two-day G-20 Summit, beginning tomorrow, is being held at a time when the global economic growth is slowing down. The Summit is expected to be attended by US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese President Xi Jinping, among others.
 

Modi is also likely to raise issues related to terrorism, climate change and global cooperation to unearth black money, among others, during the Summit, where talks would be dominated by attacks in Paris and war in Syria.
