In a goodwill gesture, India today repatriated eight Pakistan nationals, who were lodged in different jails of the country.

The Pakistani nationals were arrested for illegally entering Indian territory, official sources said.

All the prisoners crossed over to Pakistan through the land transit route in Attari after 'Emergency Travel Certificate' was issued to them by Pakistani High Commission in the national capital.

Four prisoners before their repatriation were released from Central Jail Amritsar, one from Guwahati, two from Alwar Rajasthan and one from Delhi.
