India's Spanco inaugurates call centre in Nigeria

Indian technology infrastructure firm Spanco has inaugurated a call centre in southwestern Nigeria to help authorities in providing information about various welfare schemes, including health care and agriculture.

The call center, launched in Ibadan city, will "initially cover various initiatives such as mother and child care, health helpline, and medical care, health emergency and hospital or ambulance management and agricultural helpline," the company said in a statement here.

It will also span its activities across law and order, education, tourism and other key functions like industry.

Employing more than 1200 employees in this project, the company has expressed optimism that "this relation is expected to develop a large pool of employable talent for services industries and numerous employment creation for youth."
 

The inauguration of the call center was attended by Senator Abiola Ajimobi, governor of the state of Oyo, Pravin Kumar, Global CEO of Spanco and Segun Ogunsanya, CEO of Airtel in Nigeria.
