India and Senegal today agreed to form a joint working group to cooperate in areas related to films, culture and broadcasting.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Information & Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari and visiting Sengalese Minister of Culture Abdul Aziz Mbaye here.
Both the ministers agreed to draw a time-bound roadmap in order to take the cooperation in the information and broadcasting sector forward.

In the meeting, Tewari also spoke on the potential of cooperation in the film sector and the participation in festivals such as the Children's Film Festival and the Documentary Film Festival organised by the I&B ministry.
The Senegalese minister referred to the possibilities of cooperation between the public broadcaster and the Senegalese government broadcaster in the near future.
Tewari offered to cooperate in training and capacity building through the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Tewari also invited Mbaye to the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2013 at Goa.
