India set West Indies 419-run target in opening Test

India declared their second innings at 343 for seven, setting the West Indies a stiff 419-run target to win the first cricket Test on the fourth day of the match, here on Sunday.

Ajinkya Rahane scored 102 but Hanuma Vihari missed out on his hundred by seven runs. They raised a 135-run stand for the fifth wicket.

India: 297 and 343/7 declared in 112.3 overs (A Rahane 102, H Vihari 93; R Chase 4/132, K Roach 1/29)

West Indies 1st innings: 222 all out.
