The fishermen were arrested for illegal fishing in India's territorial waters.

All the released fishermen crossed over to Pakistan through the land transit route of Attari/Wagha border on the basis of 'Emergency Travel Certificate' issued by Delhi-based Pakistan High Commission.

The fishermen said they were happy to return to their country. They said Indian jail authorities had provided them food, cloths, medication besides caring for their other basic needs during their detention.
