The two countries also signed a defence cooperation pact which will facilitate cooperation between Indian and Spain by exchanging defence-related experience, information, encouraging visits of personnel, collaboration in defence industry and other similar areas of cooperation.
The pacts were signed after comprehensive talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and King Juan Carlos I of Spain on bilateral, regional and international issues.
Other pacts included an MoU in the roads and road transport sector, aimed at promoting efficient and environmentally sustainable transport systems.
It also proposes to institutionalise a technical and scientific cooperation in the fields of road infrastructure, construction, maintenance and management of roads.
The two countries also signed a pact to promote and facilitate co-production of films between the two countries.
"A film co-produced in compliance with this Agreement shall be deemed to be a national film in the territory of each country and shall be fully entitled to all the benefits which are granted under the laws and regulations of each country," an official statement said.
The last pact to be signed was to promote cooperation and information exchange in the areas of high speed railway, upgradation of speed of passenger trains on existing lines, improving safety of train operations, modernisation of rolling stock among others.
