India is steadfast in its commitment to the Palestinian cause, including the inalienable rights of its people to establish an independent Palestine state in conformity with the relevant UN resolutions, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar made the assertion in a written reply to a question. The Indian reiteration also comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Palestine on Saturday.
"India has been consistently providing support to Palestinian people in the field of capacity building and infrastructure development," he said.
Modi will be travelling from February 9-12 to Palestine, the UAE and Oman.
