India will present its views on women, peace and security, tackling sexual exploitation and abuse and improving peacekeeping through rapid deployment at the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial meeting in London this week.
This will be the first international meeting which Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre will be attending after having taken over as the Minister of State for Defence.
The minister will speak at the plenary sessions on September 8, which will be attended by representatives of more than 100 countries.
The sessions would take up issues on women, peace and security, pre and post Deployment, tackling sexual exploitation and abuse and improving peacekeeping — rapid deployment, the ministry said.
During the visit, Bhamre will also have a bilateral meeting with UK Minister of State for Defence Production Harriett Baldwin.
