Vice President Venkaiah Naidu today said India is undergoing a transformation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government is "working tirelessly" to promote inclusive growth.

"India is transforming in a big way, thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has given a three-word mantra -- reform, perform and transform. To transform the nation, you have to reform and also perform. This is what is happening at various levels," Naidu said.

India is now again moving forward and a lot of transformations have taken place with regard to legislations and also the attitude of the people of India has undergone a radical change, the vice president said at a CII event here.

He, however, pointed out that the challenge was to encourage more youth to become entrepreneurs, as in a country like India with a population of 130 crore, no government can provide jobs to all.

Highlighting the importance of inclusive growth, he said: "We have a bright future. India is on the move. But we have to take everybody along with us, that is required, what is called as inclusive growth. Everybody should feel that he also has a stake in the system and the fruits of development should reach those sections also".

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, was also present on the occasion to mark the silver jubilee of Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST).

"The constraints like access to credit, advantages of technology, marketing support need to be addressed and I think BYST model of mentoring can play a significant role in the growth of entrepreneurial culture," Naidu said.
