Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become a developed nation in the next four years and the world is looking at the country with respect.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India, from a developing country, will become a developed nation in the next four years," Paswan said while addressing two election meetings in support of BJP candidates.

The Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister further said the world has started looking up at India with respect and as a new "super power" because of Modi's efforts.

"BJP is pillar of social justice. I made a mistake in understanding it (earlier)," Paswan said.

On November 17, RJD chief Lalu Prasad had alleged during his poll meetings in these constituencies that the BJP was out to stamp out socialists.

Paswan assured the people of the constituencies going to the polls in the first phase of polling on November 25 that efforts would be made to revive the Japla Cement Factory in Palamau.
