India's Davis Cup captain Anand Amritraj today said his side can beat the formidable Serbians if world number one Novak Djokovic give the World Group play-off tie a miss.

"I am told that Djokovic is to confirm his playing tonight. If he does not turn up, it will be a different game. The other singles players are ranked between 60 and 110 so we can beat them," Amritraj said at a press conference.

"The doubles is an evenly matched affair. Lee (Leander Paes) is around, we have the edge there," he added

Moreover the courts are quite fast and the evening start will do wonders for our players, Anand said.

He also pinned hopes on Indian youngster Yuki Bhambri.

"Apart from Somdev and Rohan, I have great faith in young players Yuki who has overcome his injuries. If he is hundred per cent fit, he can put up a great show," he said.

"Rohan will play his first Davis Cup match in front of his home crowd - as one of the natural leaders in the team. He is a good team player. He's always noisy and supportive of the two singles players. The unity of the team is because Somdev and Rohan do a fine job of keeping the team morale high," he added.
