India win 4 medals in ISU World Development Trophy

India have won four medals in the ISU (International Skating Union) World Development Trophy in Short Track Speed Ice Skating, held in Singapore from April 9 to April 13.

Besides India, eight other countries including North Korea, Singapore, DPR Korea, Argentina, Sough Africa, Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Mangolia participated in the five-day event and India won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

The Indian coach, Pankaj Prabhakar from Shimla, trained the participants for one week in Singapore.

India won gold in Junior Boys 1000 mtrs and Junior Boys 500 mts, silver medal in Junior Girls 500 mts and bronze in Junior Girls 100 mts, Prabhakar said.
 

The Indian Boys team comprised Sohan Tarkar (Bombay) and Prathik Prasad (Bangalore) while Seeliya Simmith and Avani Kumar (Mangalore) and Varsha Kukreja (Bombay).
