India's boxing coach Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu is contemplating retirement but will consult the Federation officials before taking a final decision.
"I had earlier said that 60 is the age of retirement. I will take a decision when I return to India. I will talk to the president and other officials and also seek their views before taking a final decision," Sandhu said.
The eight-member Indian boxing contingent managed just one bronze medal in the Olympics through M C Mary Kom in women's boxing, which has been introduced for the first time.
Sandhu said he expected more medals.
"Boxing is a religion for me. I have been involved in boxing for most part of my life. I can't go home happy because we have not won enough medals," Sandhu said.
"Overall, I am happy with the performance. There were a number of young boxers taking part in the Olympics for the first time. They boxed well but it could not translate into medals. I am responsible for that," he said.
Sandhu thanked the Sports Ministry and Sports Authority of India (SAI) for the support and providing good infrastructure for training.
"The facilities have improved and the boxers are getting better training now days. Thanks to SAI and Sports Ministry our training had been good," he said.
