Press Trust of India Jaunpur
Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare today said that democracy in India was in danger and stressed on the need for saving it.

Addressing a public rally here as part of his 'Jantantra Yatra', Hazare said that India remained a country with huge potential, although there were several challenges in front of the people.

The country is reeling under the problems of corruption, price rise and hooliganism and it would be in the interests of society at large if these issues were addressed, Hazare said.

Stating that 44,000 people were currently part of his movement, Hazare said that the fate of the country would change the day six lakh activists gathered round him.
