More than five hundred delegates from Jammu and other states will participate in a three-day conference organised by Indian Dental Association (IDA) at the end of this month here, officials said today.
"IDA will organise a three-day state and interstate Dental Conference from 31st October to 2nd November in Jammu where more than five hundred delegates from within and outside the state will be participating," General Secretary of Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu Branch, Gautam Sharma said.
Delegates from Jammu and Kashmir as well as from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh are expected to participate in the event, he informed.

The last state and inter-state Dental Conference was held in year 2006. No such mega dental event has so far been held in Jammu, he informed.
The details of the programme have been sent to head office at Mumbai regarding the organisation of the conference and first call letter has already been dispatched to the dentists in all the states, President IDA Jammu Branch, Ritesh Gupta said.
Pre-conference courses will be held on October 31 and the conference will be organised at the state of art "Zorawar Singh Auditorium", University of Jammu, in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Government Dental College and Institute of Dental Sciences.
They said that they are trying to rope in dental equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical industry, and other industrial houses for sponsorship as this is a very prestigious event for Jammu.
