Indian doctor fined for insulting colleague in Bahrain

An Indian doctor in Bahrain has been fined 100 Dinars (nearly USD 265) by a court for insulting a woman colleague, according to a media report today.

The doctor, who was not identified, insulted the woman, also a doctor at the Salmaniya Medical Complex after she "disrespected" him on a social networking website, the Gulf Daily News reported.

The woman accused him of not knowing how to treat his colleagues.

A lower criminal court convicted him yesterday and directed him to pay the fine.
