Indian economy has achieved rapid development: Gohain

Union Minister Rajen Gohain today claimed that the Indian economy has achieved rapid development, changing from cash to cashless, manual to digitalisation during the last three years.

"Digital transaction can check corruption and bring transparency along with solving unemployment problems," Gohain, the Minister of State for Railways said while participating in the Mudra Promotion Campaign organised here.

He also emphasised mass awareness campaigns at the grassroots level for the success of the Mudra Yojana.

Gohain urged entrepreneurs to maintain good relations with banks and to timely return their loans.

The minister further urged youths not to run after government jobs but rather become self dependent by availing Mudra loans.
 

Gohain said that in Railway Ministry, huge investments have been made for infrastructure development including introduction of high speed trains.

The Minister distributed loan sanction letters under Start up India Scheme to different entrepreneurs and SHGs.

He also felicitated the successful entrepreneurs who have started successful enterprises after availing loans under the Mudra Yojana.

Mudra Promotion Campaign is a drive aimed at providing every Indian a chance to progress, develop, get empowered and be prosperous and it also leads to better transformation of life amongst the young generation businessmen.

The campaign was started by the Centre on September 27 all over the country in a phased manner and was organised here by the state level Bankers Committee, SBI in association with the Central and Assam government.
