Indian envoy meets UAE's Deputy Prime Minister

Indian Ambassador to the UAE T P Seetharam today met the Gulf country's Deputy Prime Minister Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

"The two officials exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest and discussed cooperation and ways to enhance relations between the two countries," state-run Wam news agency reported today.

Lt Gen Saif also holds the portfolio of the Interior Minister.

The meeting was attended Maj Gen Nasser Lakhraibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Brig Gen Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police and Col Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Interior Minister.
 

Seetharam assumed the office in December last year.
