A large number of Indian companies are finding Dubai an ideal location for enhancing their Information and Communication Technology businesses, leading businessmen here have said.

"High growth prevails across all segments, and the market is driven by economic diversification and various e-government initiatives in sectors like finance, communications and manufacturing," Kamal Vachani, Regional Director of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council for the Middle East, said.

"The region continues to enjoy solid growth rates despite global slowdown," Vachani said.

"It is estimated that electronics goods exports to Middle East countries during 2012-13 were to the tune of USD 1,667 million whereas exports of software and related services to that region were USD 1,852 million. This clearly shows the rising interest amongst the Indian ICT exporting community to explore Middle East and neighbouring countries," he said.

ESC is aggressively marketing to tap the Middle East market and to further strengthen the IT relations between India and the Middle East, Chairman of ESC Vinod Sharma said.

The Council is also inviting a large delegation from Middle East to visit India for India IT Show 2013.
