Palanivel Rajesh, who worked here as a gardener, pleaded guilty to molesting the 25-year-old domestic worker in Jurong West area on April 30, The Straits Times reported.

The court heard that the victim was returning to the apartment after buying newspapers for her employer when Rajesh waylaid her and asked for her phone number.

After she said that she did not have a mobile phone, he followed her into the lift and began molesting her after finding her alone.
