Indian men's badminton team in SAG semis

The Indian men's badminton team thrashed Maldives and Bangladesh with an identical scoreline of 3-0 in Group 'A' matches and make the semifinals in the 12th South Asian Games here today.

K Srikanth started the proceedings for India with a bang, downing Maldives' Mohamed Ajifan Rasheed before Ajay Jayaram handed then a 2-0 lead with his win over Hussain Zayan Shaheed Zaki.

The pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy then wrapped it up in the doubles with a win over the Maldives combo of Shaheed Zaki and Ajifan.

The Indian team then got the better of Bangladesh 3-0 to secure their semis spot from Group A.
 

First HS Prannoy defeated Ayman Jaman and then B Sai Praneeth got the better of Rais Uddin.

Manu-Sumeeth clinched the issue in the third game, beating the duo of Ayman and Rais.
