Indian men's skeet shooters, without the Rio-bound Mairaj Ahmad Khan, failed to make it to the final rounds of the concluding event of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup for Shotgun in San Marino today.

Among the three Indians in the fray, Sheeraz Shaikh and Man Singh shot identical scores of 117 in the qualification round to finish in 36th and 37th positions.

Smit Singh was way behind in 76th place, having shot a score of 108.

Yesterday, Indian women's skeet team comprising Maheshwari Chauhan and Rashmee Rathore ended in 36th and 49th place respectively. Maheshwari shot 64 out of 75 while Rashmee managed 61.

The ISSF World Cup moves next to Baku, Azerbaijan, for its fourth and concluding stage and would be a combined stage for Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun. This would be the last global competition for the sport before the Rio 2016 Olympics in August.
